Orlyk - Music
Orlyk is one of the very few dance groups that perform to live Ukrainian folk music only. Our group of extremely talented musicians play on both traditional and modern instruments The instruments include Accordions, Mandolins, Double Bass, Tsymbaly (Dulcimer), Recorder, Tambourine, Viola and Drum.
The leader of the musicians is Mychajlo Kuziw - an expert accordion player who has an encyclopaedic knowledge of hundreds of Ukrainian dances and a fantastic talent for creating new melodies. Orlyk released an album containing a selection of our music and you can hear some clips from the songs by clicking on the links on this page.
